The Lake Superior Regional Citizen Science Collaborative

The Lake Superior Regional Citizen Science Collaborative (LSRCSC) seeks to identify citizen science efforts and opportunities in the Lake Superior Region in order to facilitate  communication and collaboration among researchers, educators and citizens who want to participate in citizen science. There is considerable interest from the regional communities in applying citizen science to assessing ecosystem health of the St. Louis River Estuary and western Lake Superior, as well as engaging communities with scientific findings. In addition, there is a need to understand how citizen science can best fit the needs of the Lake Superior Region. LSRCSC is working towards compiling a detailed list of existing regional citizen science programs,  reviewing the citizen science literature relevant to our region  and developing the Superior Citizen Science website (Superiorcitsci.org) for networking and sharing of ideas and resources.
